Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for all Merchandise Presentation cross functional process management, including governance, improvement, documentation, and training. This position will lead all training and onboarding and be accountable for creating and maintaining all training materials. Manage all line review activity to be executed in stores, including strategic long-term plans to support category growth, scheduling, communication, and the management of execution hours to ensure that in-store execution labor is being maximized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  • Manage the Merchandising category management processes, including process improvement and governance. Gain alignment with leadership on all process standards. Implement process changes. Gather feedback to identify future improvements or training opportunities. Develop and maintain a complete library of documentation.
  • Accountable for Merchandise Presentation training and onboarding. Develop training programs that support new hires as well as the continued development of existing team members.
  • Lead cross functional projects to ensure all strategic goals are met. Meeting with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals. Meet with Business Partners, stakeholders, Project Managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, identify processes, set goals, and lead prioritization and execution
  • Manage a team dedicated to the accurate execution of shelf strips across the chain, and accountable for controlling expenses and operating within the annual budget. Develop new print solutions and technology that will expand the programs capabilities.
  • Manage the annual planogram reset calendar, ensuring strategic category growth goals are met. Hold teams accountable to project deadlines to support on time delivery of all reset elements and monitor execution compliance to identify process and training opportunities. Communicate high level results to all levels of leadership.
  • Lead cross functional process improvement initiatives, ensuring all facets of the organization are properly represented. Must gain leadership alignment before, during, and after each event. Facilitate large groups in process mapping, identification of opportunities, prioritizing action plans, and creating implementation plans to execute across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with large variety of internal team members at all levels to fully understand business processes, challenges, and anticipate needs.


Required Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years combined experience in program management, project manager, administration, or related experience. Prefer experience in merchandising, store planning, or space management disciplines as well as Business Objects and SAP.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, management, or related field; Master's degree in business or related field is preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: PMP, CAPM, or PgMP preferred

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of program or project management applications.
  • This role requires a broad understanding of organizational processes
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with appropriate experience
  • Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Risk management & mitigation
  • Proficient and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and ability to motivate

  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals at all levels
  • They need a strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Proficiency in a Space Management Software (JDA preferred), Microsoft Office, Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, Business Objects, and SAP
