Job Description

We are currently searching for a Municipal Infrastructure Manager in our Calgary office.

The successful candidate will lead the Municipal Infrastructure Group in the Calgary Infrastructure Division. The Municipal Infrastructure team provides civil engineering services for complex projects related to water, sanitary and stormwater infrastructure with an emphasis on underground pipe design, procurement and construction as well as stormwater storage facility design and construction. The group primarily delivers work for public sector clients and for other Divisions within the operation.

As the Municipal Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate must be able to: (1) inspire team members to work collaboratively and deliver high quality outcomes for clients; (2) market the capabilities of the group to internal and external clients; (3) possess credible understanding of the technical requirements within the Group and the industry; (4) communicate effectively with multiple team members and clients; and (5) apply critical thinking to support team members in solving challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a group of engineers and technologists to deliver technically excellent work with exceptional service for clients.
Leading the group to deliver successful financial results.
Promoting staff development and career planning through coaching and mentoring of team members.
Identifying team needs and developing and recruiting to strengthen the team.
Drafting and executing annual business plans in line with Group and Division goals.
Managing and developing client relationships.
Developing and maintaining networks within the industry.
Leading the pursuit, strategy development, execution and review of proposals.
Managing projects, delivering successful outcomes for clients and achieving intended financial performance, budget and schedule metrics.
Preparing and reviewing technical reports, design briefs, design drawings and specifications.
Ensuring quality and accuracy of designs, reports, and studies in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

What you will bring:
Engineering Degree or an Engineering Technology Diploma.
Eligible for registration with APEGA or ASET.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and management of infrastructure projects.
Minimum of 5 years working in a consulting environment.
Demonstrated experience in the duties listed above.
Valid driver's license.
