| What we are looking for
Reporting to the Director, Technical Service Delivery, the Manager, Network Infrastructure is responsible for providing leadership, specialized advice, recommendations, and support in
the planning, development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of Payments Canada's Network Infrastructure. The Manager, Network Infrastructure will lead a team of network staff and work closely with other IT departments to ensure a robust, secure, and efficient networking environment. This position plays a key role in the Technology Service Delivery organization influencing both current and future state of our corporate and payment environment networking infrastructure.

| What we are looking for
Reporting to the Director, Technical Service Delivery, the Manager, Network Infrastructure is responsible for providing leadership, specialized advice, recommendations, and support in
the planning, development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of Payments Canada's Network Infrastructure. The Manager, Network Infrastructure will lead a team of network staff and work closely with other IT departments to ensure a robust, secure, and efficient networking environment. This position plays a key role in the Technology Service Delivery organization influencing both current and future state of our corporate and payment environment networking infrastructure.
|A day in the life
Your responsibilities as the Manager, Network Infrastructure will include but are not limited to:
Management of Technical Services and Project/Program Delivery:
- Manage technology roadmap, lifecycle, capacity and performance planning for Network Infrastructure and associated services.
- Manage infrastructure operations and support, maintenance and upkeep, automation, incident and problem management, and timely implementation of related technical advisory services for Payments Canada's IT Network Infrastructure.
- Ensure security aspects are embedded into the design, implementation, operations and management of IT Network Infrastructure.
- Ensure the infrastructure architecture is capable of achieving and in many exceeding the business needs and the agreed to SLA.
Leadership, People and Team Development:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a divisional strategy in line with the organizational strategy, designed to enhance or reliably sustain existing services over the longer term, and to proactively identify opportunities for new or amended services.
- Provide strong leadership to the divisional team, ensuring the necessary tools and support are in place to enable the team to be successful.
- Monitor and measure performance of divisional goals against Payments Canada's strategic goals, as well as plans in support of the corporate scorecard.
- Attract and retain professionals with the skill sets and competencies needed to deliver Payments Canada's strategic priorities.
Contacts and Communications:
- Manage internal and external Payments Canada client relationships. Ensures client infrastructure needs are identified, analyzed, and addressed in a timely manner to the satisfaction of Payments Canada senior management and the client.
- Manage and maintain relationships between Payments Canada Members, external service providers and vendors.
- Communicate with functional managers to provide strategic and tactical advice on infrastructure program/project planning and execution.
| What you need to be successful
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in network engineering.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience.
- Professional and expert level networking certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE or other vendor equivalents are desirable, but not required if the candidate has equivalent industry experience.
- Proven track record of managing complex network infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of cloud services and architectures, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hybrid models.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements relevant to financial services or payment systems.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Clearance and can successfully complete enhanced background checks that may be carried out by Payments Canada.

| Salary range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $112,364 to $140,455.
