General Statement of Duties:
TheCorporate APP Manager is responsible for the daily leadership activities withmanaging a team of Advanced Practice Providers across various settings,including urgent care and trauma. The Manager will oversee staff development,training programs, audits, recruiting efforts and implement programs tocontinually improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties:
Facilitates the APPteams clinical oversight/needs by utilizing the surgeon resources within theapplicable department. Serves as a liaison between Physicians, physician staff and Clinic Services to promote optimal operation, flow, and employee satisfaction. Assists in conflict resolution and coaching to maintain a positive work environment. Develops and interprets departments policies, objective, and operational procedures. Resolves problems related to staffing, patient flow, patient concerns, utilizations of facilities, task management, downtime processes, etc. Coordinates functions and activities of the Advanced Practice Providers. Assists in the development and collaborates with surgeons to identify educational programs designed to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the staff. Manages orientation and training, scheduling, annual evaluations, disciplinary actions, hiring of staff, collaborates on the needs of medical staff office. Responsible for staff schedules, PTO requests,approving timecards, and submitting other pay related documents for processing. Acts as a liaisonwith other departments to maintain and improve volume, quality, and revenuegeneration. Coordinates with leadership and Physicians to provide qualitypatient care. Reviews expectations and responsibilities with supervisingPhysicians to optimize workflows. Functions as a resource to the organizationregarding Advanced Practice Provider issues. Develops, tracks andrecommends process improvements, including appropriate use of ancillary orders,patient triage, etc. Establishes performance and evaluation standards todocument and review with staff. Contributes to and supports the development ofnew policies, procedures, systems or work practices to optimize operationalefficiency. Promotes and monitorsregulatory agency standards and organizational service expectations. Reviews policies, complianceand safety protocols in various care settings by the collaborating withsurgeons. Supports the preparation of departmental budget. Analyzes prior year performance data and projects business growth to determine necessary budgetary adjustments. Researches andprovides data for financial and statistical purposes including budgeting,reviewing invoices, seeking out cost savings opportunities, and understandingstatements. Tracks and explains monthly budget variances and adheres tocorporate spending policies. Maintains compliancewith federal, state and OrthoIndy regulatory measures and laws including OSHA,HIPAA and Stark. Utilizes incident report system to track patient safetyconcerns and professional conduct issues. Collaborates with Quality and RiskDepartment to perform monthly quality and safety rounds and completechecklists. Communicates policyand procedure changes and initiatives through monthly staff meetings, teamhuddles, and appropriate written and verbal communication. Maintains Teamschannels, archives meeting minutes for reference, and directs staff to reviewand understand evolution of process improvement with supporting documents andresources. Responsible for staff schedules, PTO requests, approving timecards, and submitting other pay related documents for processing.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
- 2-4 years of experience required, 4-6 years of experience preferred
- Direct experience with healthcare leadership required
- Medical Office Manager, Practice Manager, or other applicable certification preferred
- BLS certification required
