Responsibilities
- Leadership in AI/ML: Collaborate closely with the executive team to develop and execute AI/ML roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. This role involves working with department leaders to prioritize initiatives that drive significant value for both customers and the organization.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and ML engineers, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By setting clear performance expectations and providing access to professional development resources, foster an environment where team members can grow and succeed.
- Model Development & Deployment: Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that address critical business challenges, such as predictive analytics, customer behavior modeling, and process optimization. Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure models are scalable and adhere to MLOps best practices, enabling robust deployment across the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert by translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, promoting AI literacy, and driving cross-departmental collaboration.
- AI Governance & Ethics: Uphold high standards for data quality, security, and privacy through rigorous data governance practices. Advocate for responsible AI by embedding ethical considerations throughout the model development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in data science, ML, or AI, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects, coaching teams, and delivering impactful, data-driven solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
