Audubon Construction Solutions, LLC is currently seeking a Manager of I E Construction to join our team in our Houston, TX Energy Corridor Office. The Manager of I E Construction will oversee the successful execution of Instrumentation and Electrical (I E) projects in the industrial construction sector. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of I E project management and execution, focusing on complex electrical systems, instrumentation, and communication infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in field operations, project planning, and stakeholder management, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical Leadership: Act as the technical lead for all I E construction activities, providing subject matter expertise to ensure projects adhere to industry best practices, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Project Planning Execution: Develop and oversee project execution strategies, aligning resources, schedules, and budgets to achieve project milestones. Ensure effective deployment of personnel and equipment to support successful project delivery.
  • Resource Management: Lead the recruitment, development, and management of I E supervision and craft personnel, ensuring teams are effectively trained, resourced, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Subcontractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage I E subcontractors and vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure high-quality performance and project alignment.
  • Schedule Cost Management: Collaborate with project controls to establish robust tracking mechanisms for scope, schedule, and cost management. Ensure timely identification and mitigation of any deviations or changes.
  • Field Oversight Quality Assurance: Supervise I E field operations, providing direction and support to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Maintain a strong safety culture and enforce safety policies on all project sites.
  • Change Management: Lead change management processes, evaluating scope changes, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing approved changes without disruption to project progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including project owners, engineering teams, and regulatory bodies. Ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.
  • Support Functions Oversight (Indirect Responsibility): Oversee and provide strategic input for I E estimating, licensing, and operations, ensuring these functions support project execution and align with overall business goals.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in I E construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale industrial I E projects, with a focus on electrical systems, instrumentation, and fiber optics.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver on schedule and budget.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and best practices for electrical construction.
  • Familiarity with low and medium voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, and fiber optics.
  • Experience working with and managing subcontractors and vendors within the I E space.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
