We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Manager of Pharmacy Operations to oversee our pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will be a licensed pharmacist in the state of West Virginia with a minimum of 5 years of practice experience in acute care pharmacy settings. As the Manager of Pharmacy Operations, you will be responsible for leading and managing our pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize pharmacy workflow and ensure quality patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to promote safe and effective medication use and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to pharmacy practice.
- Manage pharmacy budget, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue generation.
- Participate in pharmacy-related committees, task forces, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with advances in pharmacy practice, technology, and healthcare trends.
Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of West Virginia.
- Minimum of 5 years of practice experience in acute care pharmacy settings, with a strong clinical background.
- Previous leadership or management experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of pharmacy professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of pharmacy information systems and technology.
