POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Strategic Leadership
- Define and govern the enterprise architecture strategy for SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring alignment with the company's business goals and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee the long-term roadmap for SAP system enhancements, integrations, and optimizations.
- Provide technical leadership in SAP S/4 HANA design, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and security.
- Collaborate with AWS architects to optimize cloud-hosted SAP environments for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
Program Management
- Lead the end-to-end integration of SAP S/4 HANA with other critical business applications (e.g., manufacturing, procurement, finance, and inventory systems).
- Establish and enforce architectural governance for SAP customizations, data flows, and automation.
- Continuously assess and implement process improvements, leveraging SAP Fiori, analytics, and AI-driven capabilities.
- Collaborate with business leaders to map and optimize workflows across SAP modules.
- Drive the adoption of automation and analytics to improve efficiency, sustainability, and decision-making.
- Spearhead the configuration, troubleshooting and/or issue resolution of system implementation, configuration, integration, etc.
- Boots on the ground at each facility to configure the system to each location's needs.
- Responsible for budgeting of SAP projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness for each facility.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technology professionals, while influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery across SAP-enabled business processes.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Provide regular performance feedback and support professional development.
- Manage team to stay updated on latest SAP trends, tools, and certifications.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership, ensuring SAP solutions align with organizational goals.
- Manage SAP technical resources, including external partners, vendors, and consultants.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless SAP operations.
- Develop and execute IT strategies to enhance operational processes and support business growth.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies to improve IT capabilities within the organization.
Governance, Security, & Compliance
- Implement data governance and security best practices for SAP environments.
- Ensure system resilience and business continuity through effective backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and ensure audit readiness.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP architecture, implementation, and system integration, preferably with SAP S/4 HANA.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP enterprise architecture, cloud ERP deployments (AWS preferred), and integration frameworks.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment with minimal supervision, while adapting to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
- Proven experience leading and developing technical teams, including performance management, coaching, and team building.
- Experience working with SAP Finance (FI), Manufacturing (PP), Sourcing & Procurement (MM), Inventory Management (IM), and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules.
- Deep understanding of SAP best practices, system scalability, and enterprise IT strategy.
- Proven experience in cloud-based SAP deployments, including security, networking, and performance optimization.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- SAP certifications (SAP S/4 HANA Architect, SAP Integration Specialist, or related) preferred.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Fiori, and AI-driven analytics preferred.
- Knowledge of sustainability-focused ERP strategies in construction or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Programming and configuration abilities within SAP, incl. CPQ and AVC preferred.
