Job Summary:

The Manager Business Operations role is a hybrid role designed to drive operational excellence and lead internal technology initiatives that support Apollo internal operations. This role combines deep business acumen with technical expertise in Salesforce, Kugamon, and Cloud Coach to optimize processes, implement new solutions, and support the organization's growth and efficiency goals. In addition, Business Operations collects and analyzes data to evaluate operations and processes to facilitate complex decision-making. Follows established modeling and evaluation methodologies to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities, isolate problem areas and develop solutions. This position will report to the VP Finance while working closely with other members of the team. This individual will be a catalyst for change regarding data capture that will be used to drive business decisions. Business Operations Support role works on company-wide projects/matters of a range of complexities from limited to highly complex software/system integrations.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Analyze, design, and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational challenges and develop solutions
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of operational initiatives.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of Salesforce solutions, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and other related applications.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to establish gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, functionality and processes (currently not doing but future).
  • Assist accounting team with monthly close including creating invoice schedules, pulling data for commission calculations, ensuring time and materials (T&M) are entered accurately and in a timely manner
  • Configure Salesforce to meet business needs, including customizing objects, fields, workflows, and automations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring adoption and proper utilization of Salesforce solutions.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, recommending and implementing new functionalities as appropriate.
  • Assess and recommend technology tools and systems that align with business operations and Salesforce capabilities.
  • Manage and oversee the integration of third-party applications with Salesforce to enhance business operations including Kugamon and Cloud Coach.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce and other integrated systems.

Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in business operations, process optimization, and Salesforce implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing technology projects, preferably with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of key systems and processes and familiarity with other business systems (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, customer service platforms) is a plus.
  • Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
  • This role may independently perform the most complex work and advise management on process and procedures.
  • Will apply the latest knowledge available to solve complex problems.
  • Often the go-to person for newly identified/discovered challenges/problems.
  • Knowledge of advanced financial analysis techniques and budgeting processes, revenue recognition, commission structures.
  • Recognized as authority on strategic projects and or initiatives having potential significant impact to company/clients.


Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Salesforce experience is required and QuickBooks is preferred
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning preferred
