Wage Range: $152,443 - $243,880 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the development and management of pharmacy ambulatory services throughout the EvergreenHealth network under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services. This individual will focus on program development, drug utilization, medication safety, cost/benefit analyses, regulatory compliance, professional advancement initiatives and collaboration with other EvergreenHealth providers and departments.
Primary Duties:
Demonstrates clinical expertise in the ambulatory patient care setting. Meets or exceeds departmental expectations for continuing education. Supervises the provision of patient care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, specific to the age of the patient population served in the ambulatory pharmacy service areas. Identifies, implements and supports professional development initiatives. Identifies and mentors' leadership development within the department. Recommends and supports strategies to promote safe, cost-effective, quality medication therapy. Develops methods to encourage appropriate medication utilization within the ambulatory care areas. Identifies and coordinates the development of new clinical initiatives and ambulatory practice area. Fosters collaboration between all pharmacy practice areas. Prepares ambulatory pharmacy practice areas for survey and accreditation visits by external agencies. Writes, reviews, and approves departmental policies and procedures for ambulatory areas. Administers the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability of the ambulatory pharmacy staff. Holds supervisory responsibility for effective staff performance and follow through of assigned responsibilities and for the completion of responsibilities within the designated (or agreed upon) timeframes. This individual will monitor the completion of staff responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policies, goals and values. Commitment and attention to continuous improvement in organizational and technical systems. Provides assistance and support to the pharmacy leadership team as required. Participates as a member of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P&T) as requested by Medical Staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Washington state Pharmacist license
- 3 years pharmacist experience with demonstrated skill as an ambulatory clinical pharmacy care provider
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- Strong communication, mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Math skills necessary to perform drug dosing and compounding calculations
DESIRED for the position:
- Preceptor license
- Completion of a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) pharmacy residency program or equivalent experience
- Management / supervisory experience
