About the National Service Office
The National Service Office is the central operational engine for two evidence-based programs: Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First. In 2020, what was formerly the National Service Office solely for Nurse-Family Partnership united with Child First, a merger empowering two proven models to share complementary expertise, infrastructure and integrated services. The resulting unified entity works to ensure that healthcare, early childhood development, and the mental wellness of the entire family are served in proven ways to achieve long-term positive outcomes.

Position Description
The Manager, Philanthropy supports the fundraising goals of the National Service Office and contributes to the success of the organization's financial growth and sustainability. The Manager, Philanthropy provides compliance and reporting oversight, philanthropy staff onboarding, management of annual giving and donor relations staff, education related to philanthropy operations for philanthropy team, and serves as the primary point of contact to other NSO departments.
This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expertise, oversight, and implementation of all aspects of the Salesforce CRM on behalf of the philanthropy department.
- Provide subject matter expertise, management, and oversight of a team for the Philanthropy Department toward achievement of annual and mid-level giving program goals.
- Coordinate strategy for donor upgrades with Major Gifts Team Closely monitor and coordinate restricted grant spend down with relationship managers and Finance to ensure efficient use of grant funds.
- Create and manage new staff orientation process for incoming Philanthropy team members, including creation and refresh of onboarding materials.
- Manage annual staff retreat(s), including convening organizing committee, logistics, expenses and post-retreat evaluation.
- Identify professional growth and learning opportunities for staff members and proactively address staff educational needs, including new and refresh trainings on all research and CRM tools and other organizational resources to facilitate successful fundraising.
- Oversee contracts use and training on prospect research tools used by the philanthropy team.
- Plan team meetings.
- Manage team engagement in developing an organization-wide culture of Philanthropy.
- Serve as primary point of contact with NSO departments
- Review monthly budget expenditures and review department spending.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in annual giving and donor relations.
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting strategic fundraising plans.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in people and/or program management
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with CRM databases; Salesforce preferred.
- Understanding of industry best practices and demonstrated ethical compliance as defined by the Association for Fundraising Professionals.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours on occasion.

- Salary is determined based on experience and skill set. Geographical adjustments may be considered.
