What You'll Do:
- Manages staff performing facility assessments for existing and future capital projects/needs with required scopes of work, cost estimates, and prioritization for capital reinvestment and new construction projects for the annual Master Capital Plan.
- Oversees day-to-day operations for the team including directing, managing, mentoring, training, grievance handling, performance evaluations, discipline and terminations for several professional and technical District staff.
- Responsible for all qualified vendor architects, consultants and contractors performing work for the District necessary for the design, construction, construction management and planning activities for the capital program, including the bond program.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of long-range capital plans for District facilities and necessary capital expenditures for new construction and capital reinvestment.
- Acts as liaison between the District, school site administrators, parents and staff, architects and contractors to assure that the authorized projects are accomplished in accordance with District policies and procedures.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma/GED Required.
- Masters Degree Preferred (Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management).
- 5+ Field Construction, Architecture, or Engineering.
- 2+ Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 2+ Full life-cycle project planning and implementation.
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
