What You Will Do
The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the delivery of strategic initiatives and projects for Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC), focusing on prioritization efforts in order to meet FCC's regulatory obligations, as well as strategic business objectives. The PMO supports a wide range of initiatives, including regulatory, technology, and operational based projects.
In this role, the Manager, PMO will lead a team of Project Manager's in ensuring a disciplined adherence to scope, timelines, cost in support of the projects' business objectives, and risk controls. The Manager will be engaged in all phases of delivery, from business case creation, vendor/procurement, project planning, execution and close out.

What You Will Do
The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the delivery of strategic initiatives and projects for Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC), focusing on prioritization efforts in order to meet FCC's regulatory obligations, as well as strategic business objectives. The PMO supports a wide range of initiatives, including regulatory, technology, and operational based projects.
In this role, the Manager, PMO will lead a team of Project Manager's in ensuring a disciplined adherence to scope, timelines, cost in support of the projects' business objectives, and risk controls. The Manager will be engaged in all phases of delivery, from business case creation, vendor/procurement, project planning, execution and close out.
- Support the delivery of all FCC projects/initiatives.
- Reviews all project management artifacts and deliverables, including project charters, resources, risks, schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with partners across the Fidelity Canada organization as well as the broader Fidelity organization
- Develop and ensure the adoption of Project Management framework/methodology
- Responsible for the maintenance of PMO templates and tools, utilizing industry frameworks (Waterfall/Agile).
- Responsible for PMO procedures and project governance ensuring that project management standards, processes are adhered to.
- Communicate overall business objectives to project managers and conduct annual goal setting and performance reviews.
- Coach and support Project Managers in applying project management best practices and methodologies
- Escalate and alert potential risks and provide suggestions of improving process and controls to reduce risk
The Expertise You Bring
- Completed University Degree or equivalent work experience, and PMP Certification
- 5+ years of Project management experience in the financial industry
- Demonstrated experience organizing and monitoring complex projects
- Experience in the wealth management, banking or capital markets
- Experience in a leadership role, supervisory or coaching is an asset
- Knowledge of broker/dealer platforms is an asset
The Skills You Bring
- Advanced Agile Certification is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies
- Expert level understanding of Agile values, principles, and delivery frameworks, including scaled Agile models.
- Organizational Awareness - focus on key partnerships, teamwork, and relationship building across a complex multi-national organization.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; high EQ, with an ability to understand business needs, and communicate the broader picture to all stakeholders.
- Results driven; an ability to focus on results and outcomes, while managing business/organizational risk.
- Expert level leadership, facilitation, negotiation, influence.
- Proven experience in delivering complex, cross-functional projects with global teams, preferably in financial services or management consulting
