You, as a Manager, Quality, will:
- Provide overall quality management from preconstruction to project completion; ensure project quality objectives and requirements are communicated and understood by all relevant team members including consultants and trade partners.
- Oversee the development of project-specific quality plans for design and construction; ensure all quality plans address project requirements, are consistent with EllisDon's quality program and best practices, and roles and responsibilities have been clearly defined.
- Proactively identify project risks and opportunities. Help develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies including QA/QC measures and coordination with relevant technical resources/departments.
- Manage, review, and coordinate trade-specific Subcontractor Quality Plans (SQPs). Ensure quality control and quality assurance measures are adequate for the scope of work and address project requirements.
- Perform Subcontractor / Supplier Quality Audits to ensure the level of compliance and effectiveness of trade-specific SQPs.
- Participate in project meetings as required to ensure quality items are communicated and addressed.
- Manage, review and coordinate the development of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) for construction activities. Ensure ITPs are developed and implemented effectively for all applicable scopes of work.
- Coordinate and support quality control and quality assurance activities on the project including, but not limited to, QA/QC meetings, quality checklists, mock-ups, inspection and testing, quality records, deficiency management, and quality audits.
- Track and report on the status of project Non-Conformances including completion and sign-off of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure that all quality records associated with the implementation of the quality program are received, reviewed, and maintained according to the project's document control structure.
- Monitor execution of design (if applicable) and construction activities to assess compliance with respect to the quality program, project-specific quality plans, and project requirements.
- Perform Project Quality Audits and ensure appropriate audit action plans are developed and implemented.
- Develop and oversee the deficiency management process including consultant / client walkthroughs and assist with the identification, documentation, and closure of deficiencies.
- Report on the effectiveness of the quality program and project-specific quality plans identifying areas for improvement.
- Contribute to area-wide and company-wide quality initiatives including the continuous improvement of EllisDon's Quality Program, our best practices, and lessons learned.

Is this the right role for you?
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of quality management systems and practices.
- Experience developing and implementing quality-plans on large/complex projects.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and relevant codes and standards related to construction (ex. CSA A23.1).
- Exceptional time management, leadership skills, and detail oriented.
- Ability to plan and organize work in a manner that is clear, concise, and punctual.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- This role is located on-site in Port Colborne, ON
