What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Readiness & Exam Management is responsible for supporting regulatory and audit examination and preparedness efforts for the RBC Technology Infrastructure (TI) group. You will be responsible for completing reviews of IT processes to determine the state of compliance and providing guidance to support remediation. This role will also support TI with ongoing exams from regulators (US, CAD, APAC, EU) and auditors. This role works closely with infrastructure and other risk partners to support the regulatory and compliance success of the TI group.

What will you do?
  • Support the Sr. Manager and Director with readiness exercises, regulatory exams and audits (internal/external) on IT processes and technologies.
  • Research and provide guidance on remediation plans, in alignment with the RBC IT risk Management Framework and regulatory expectations.
  • Track and manage all narrative and evidence submissions and support the creation of a book of records.
  • Prepare summaries and reports to provide to sr. management to advise on trends, progress, key insights etc.
  • Collect evidence from IT SMEs and author narratives that provide clear responses to regulators.
  • Participate in audit exercises and, along with the Sr. Manager, support IT SMEs with audit challenges and issues raised to ensure valid ownership & feasible remediation requirements are assigned.
  • Create and design processes to establish tracking key data points to enable deeper reporting insights.


What do you need to succeed?

Must Haves:
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT risk management.
  • Understanding of US & Canadian regulators. Prior financial services experience is a major asset.
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, cyber security, service delivery and risk and change management processes
  • Strong knowledge of IT Risk management frameworks and methodologies as well as tools and techniques for monitoring and reporting on IT risks
  • Experience with identification of remediation plans for new and emerging risks
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple risk remediation projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Bachelor's degree in CompSci, IT, Assurance or related degree.


Nice-to-have:
  • Certifications are a plus (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISM,CAMS CISSP)
