Job Description
Provides leadership and oversight to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta charge and transactional master files. Establishes charges and transaction codes requested by operational and financial leaders, updates charges as appropriate, and monitors charges and transaction codes established for appropriateness. Tracks new and updated regulatory and contractual requirements to identify potential updates needed to charge master and other master files. Maintains relationship with financial/operational staff engaged in pricing, charging, and reporting to coordinate input and charge master changes. Maintains close working relationship with Information Systems & Technology business partners and serves as subject matter expert on use of Epic system master files and functionality related to pricing and charging, e.g., EAP, Epic Resolute HB/PB, and other applications. Supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Experience
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare accounting, revenue cycle, and/or finance supervisory/management role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a clinical or ancillary healthcare role
- Experience in Epic master files and applications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital pricing/charging and claims/reimbursement requirements and processes
- Demonstrated success managing, monitoring, and optimizing information systems related to pricing, charging, and charge master systems and applications
- Demonstrated critical thinking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including those related to problem-solving and staff development
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates all Epic system updates to charges, transaction codes, and prices.
- Manages assigned staff related to the implementation of charge master, transaction codes, and price updates.
- Monitors changes requested to charges, transaction codes, charge workflows and Epic system charging functionality.
- Identifies potential revenue, claims, and compliance issues related to prices and charges.
- Works collaboratively with Finance, Reimbursement, Operations, Revenue Cycle, Information Systems & Technology, Compliance, and other stakeholders to identify charge master requirements and updates required based on changes to regulatory, coding, and contractual requirements.
- Develops and maintains written procedures related to establishing, maintaining, and monitoring charge processes.
- Performs periodic monitoring and validation of procedures and workflows to ensure compliance with policies and procedures developed.
- Develops, maintains, and distributes meaningful management reports and action plan necessitated by performance noted in reports.
- Communicates issues and opportunities related to charge master, transaction codes, pricing, and revenue cycle, providing insight and direction.
- Assists as necessary with audits and investigations conducted by Legal and Internal Audit departments.
- Initiates, supports, and participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
- Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
