Description:
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for programming high level business rules (cancellations, deposits/final payment rules, schedule rules, etc.) and ensuring the rules work properly. Identify strategic opportunities for improved rules that may result in incremental revenue for the company. Oversee and manage a team of system analysts who, as a team, are responsible for the entire product load and ensuring that the reservation system is properly functioning.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with senior management to continuously analyze and assess business requirements, ensuring that the reservations system functionality is developed, enhanced, and tested. Provide strategic recommendations for improving processes and system capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
- Strategize with IT developers to design and implement system enhancements that either generate incremental revenue, create operational efficiencies, or result in significant cost savings. Ensure all changes align with business objectives.
- Analyze and review business requirements related to the reservations system, working with relevant stakeholders to determine the most efficient and effective path to implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Provide dedicated build support to the Charter & Incentive team for Group Allocations and Charters within the reservations system, ensuring accurate and efficient allocation of resources and smooth operation of group bookings.
- Maintain and update payment schedules and cancellation policies for all offices and currencies within the reservations system, ensuring consistency across multiple regions and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) for system upgrades, new functionality, enhancements, and bug fixes. Ensure the system meets business needs and quality standards before signing off on new releases.
- Assign and occasionally perform routine booking audits for systems analysts to ensure that reservations follow revenue management policies and are processed according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with HR shipboard management to ensure that gifts and amenities offered through the reservations system are properly integrated and synchronized with the onboard systems, delivering a seamless experience for guests.
- Proactively communicate any revenue management-related issues or discrepancies in the reservations or pricing systems to senior management. Provide timely solutions to resolve issues and ensure system integrity.
- Provide ongoing support for escalations and troubleshoot issues related to other distribution channels, including websites and Global Distribution Systems (GDS). Ensure the smooth flow of information and bookings across all systems and platforms.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Administration, Economics, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in NVS (or other similar reservations systems), business operations and data analytics/reporting. Knowledge of travel industry and/or revenue management and pricing preferred.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Must be detail oriented, and possess excellent decision-making abilities under uncertainty and pressure.
- Excellent working knowledge of data querying tools.
- Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings to upper management.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team and provide direction.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must work well under pressure with limited direction and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team based environment and assist other team members as necessary.
