Job Summary:
The RF Engineering Manager will lead and oversee one of the three RF engineering groups within Mercury's electrical engineering organization. The team is comprised of technical members with RF and microwave expertise who are focused on developing RF devices, modules, and integrated microwave assemblies. The ideal candidate possesses experience in RF and microwave technologies and understanding of the aerospace and defense industry's unique challenges and requirements.

The RF Engineering Manager will lead and oversee one of the three RF engineering groups within Mercury's electrical engineering organization. The team is comprised of technical members with RF and microwave expertise who are focused on developing RF devices, modules, and integrated microwave assemblies. The ideal candidate possesses experience in RF and microwave technologies and understanding of the aerospace and defense industry's unique challenges and requirements.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Providing functional leadership to an RF engineering group composed of about 12 technical members who are focused on developing next generation RF products.
- Coaching and guiding team members on product development efforts across programs and product lines.
- Working with chief engineers and RF engineering leads in driving common modular designs across programs with a focus on re-use and DFMAT (Design for Manufacturability, Automated Assembly & Test).
- Supporting standardization of engineering best practices and processes for the RF department.
- Deploying RF engineering staffing to programs and product lines to ensure the skills of the staff are aligned to the needs of the projects.
- Collaborating with programs, chief engineers, and other functional leaders to align team's efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
- Ensuring all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Generating and maintaining performance metrics for the RF engineering group to support accurate and reliable Bid and Proposal efforts.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and performance in engineering deliverables produced by the team.
- Mentoring and developing RF engineering talents, fostering career growth, and enhancing team capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of RF/microwave product development experience.
- 5+ years in a technical lead role leading a team on product development programs.
- BS or MS in relevant field (Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
- Experience mentoring junior technical team members.
- Experience with process improvements and root cause analysis, such as 5 Whys and 8D.
- Experience supporting proposal development for DoD contracts.
- Ability to obtain a US Govt. Security clearance to the Secret level.
- Ability to deliver on-time in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

- Candidate must live in a commutable distance to our Hudson, NH location.
