Responsible for supporting the Strategy & Corporate Development function for Lummus Technology. This position is a cross-functional role that is responsible within the Strategy Function to support inorganic acquisition of New Business through partnerships, VC and M&A transactions. Job responsibilities include close collaboration with the Strategy and the Business Units (with the support of the Data Analytics Team) in creating a pipeline of new opportunities for growth, developing partnership relationships, selling Lummus as a strategic partner and ultimately concluding strategic transactions. The role envisions participation in larger strategy/corporate development initiatives, including developing customized and actionable strategies for Lummus growth through expansion of customer wallet, portfolio optimization, interactions in cross-company task forces, cultural initiatives and direct commercial pursuits.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Identification and Management/Support of key Lummus Strategic Partnership and M&A opportunities as identified by the Strategy Team and Executive Leadership Team.
- Sourcing of deal flow, creation and management of the opportunity pipeline from initiation to close of transaction for partnership, VC and M&A opportunities.
- Design of Commercial Strategies and New Business Models for new markets and products, ability to design business models and cases to present to Lummus Executive Leadership.
- Business Financial Modeling, ability to lead full due diligence efforts and model various business scenarios using the DCF method.
- Data Analysis - Ability to gather, manipulate, and analyze data (both qualitative and quantitative) and generate conclusions based on available information. Attention to detail is critical as analysis will be viewed by l management.
- Data Presentation - Ability to present and justify findings in clean and organized manner to effectively communicate the message to the audience.
- Implementation - Can be given a complex problem and will work through to a solution with limited additional management.
- Organizational Awareness - Has good people resource skills and will be able to navigate the organization to find appropriate resources as needed. Good at building relationships and resolving conflicts. Ability to work with all functions and levels of management, including Lummus Executive Team and Lummus Leadership Team. Proactive about seeking answers to questions.
- Process Continuation and Improvement - Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and work flows. Ability to identity potential improvements in workflow to promote efficiency and streamline group deliverables.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant industry experience in the large-scale chemicals technology field. Exposure to the Process Technology business is a requirement, experience in negotiating complex IP transactions, VC/M&A deals is a must.
- B.S./M.S. in Chemical Engineering. MBA is highly preferred, background in quantitative analytics/finance disciplines is considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Ability to build financial models using the DCF method.
- Must have advanced skills in Excel. Functionalities include but not limited to pivot tables, charts, data analysis, advanced formulas, and formatting.
- Must have advanced skills in Power Point. Functionalities include but not limited to smart art, charts, graphs, formatting, animations, and graphic design. Working knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus.
- Must have excellent personal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be team oriented and highly energetic.
- Must be willing to work with different functions and all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus.
