Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in and supporting all functions of the Strategy and M&A team. The role will work closely with the Senior Vice President, Strategy and M&A and the Senior Manager, Strategy and M&A in prospecting, evaluating, and executing transactions. The position will meet with potential M&A targets, develop a view of the target's strategic fit and financial performance, and work closely with individuals across Ryan Specialty to ensure business continuity during integration.

What will your job entail?

Job Description:
  • Work closely with senior leadership in evaluating transactions and in preparing communication for Ryan Specialty's Board of Directors
  • Participate in prospecting new opportunities through developing relationships in the industry and with investment banks
  • Analyze the core elements of each acquisition including market presence, capabilities, and strategic fit. Leverage these insights to construct recommendations for business unit leaders
  • Construct deal valuations which evaluate transactions based on multiple metrics across a wide range of scenarios
  • Develop business positions in the purchase agreement by working closely with the corporate, legal, tax, and other outside experts
  • Engage with financial diligence providers to determine the accuracy of seller prepared financials and to identify vulnerabilities as well as potential cost savings
  • Lead diligence discussions with acquisition targets reviewing past performance and future assumptions
  • Collaborate with department leaders across Ryan Specialty to facilitate acquisition integrations


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business required
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with a track record of increased responsibilities within a top tier financial due diligence practice required

The target salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
