Position Summary

As a Manager, Enterprise Strategy, you will be part of our DDAT Strategy Team, helping to shape strategy for our Digital, Data and Technology organization. Our Enterprise Strategy team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to pave the way for the future of our company. In Strategy, you will work hand-in-hand with senior business leaders to identify and analyze exciting new opportunities to drive growth and differentiation in a dynamic industry.

In this role, you will engage across our digital, data and technology businesses, develop strong relationships with senior executives, and provide analysis, guidance, and direction within areas of expertise.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning
  • Support the comprehensive annual strategic planning process for the Digital, Data, Analytics, and Technology (DDAT) division. This includes conducting in-depth analyses, synthesizing insights, and preparing detailed materials for presentations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, identify strategic priorities, and develop actionable plans that align with the overall corporate strategy.

Business Development and Growth
  • Support the identification and thorough evaluation of new technology-enabled growth opportunities. This includes exploring potential monetization strategies, forming strategic partnerships, and establishing alliances that can drive innovation and revenue growth.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, market assessments, and financial analyses to determine the viability and potential impact of new business opportunities. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making.


Market and Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to inform the technology strategy. This involves analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Develop detailed reports and presentations that highlight key insights and strategic implications, providing actionable recommendations to the technology leadership team.
  • Identify and monitor emerging technology trends and potential opportunities for their application within CVS Health. Evaluate how these trends can be leveraged to enhance existing capabilities, create new products, or improve operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to stay abreast of technological advancements and ensure that CVS Health remains at the forefront of innovation.


Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects
  • Provide support for ad-hoc strategic projects as needed. This may include conducting special analyses, developing strategic recommendations, and assisting with the implementation of high-priority initiatives.
  • Work closely with various teams across the organization to address urgent strategic challenges, capitalize on emerging opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.


You will be working in a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite) in one of the CVS Health offices in the Chicago area.

Required Qualifications
  • 7 years of overall strategy experience with at least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in consulting, investment banking, healthcare strategy, technology or operations role in an analytical environment
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience building and evaluating financial models and quickly developing executive-level presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy
  • Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully drive decisions and strategy implementation


Preferred Qualifications
  • Background with payor or provider organizations and specifically value-based care


Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
