Role and Responsibilities

Samsung Electronic America's Supply Chain Team ensures product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Samsung Global Operations Center and tracked using spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools. The Manager of Supply Chain Demand Forecasting is responsible for supporting a range of products and SKU's and working with other Planners within the Department. The Manager will also help define and support strategic projects on behalf of the entire Supply Chain Team, generate and present reports for Executive Management, and represent the SCM Team with other Departments

The Supply Chain Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues related to their product category at the Sales Subsidiary. They will also interact closely with Customers and internal teams, including Senior Management. This position may have 2-5 RFT and/or Contractor direct reports.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in relevant field
  • Bi-lingual Korean/English (Verbal/Written) helpful for communications with Global Operations
  • Excellent Analytical and Microsoft Outlook proficiency
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal)
    • Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.
  • Must be comfortable working in a multi-regional business environment
  • Must be available to work over-time and on weekends to support international operations
  • Occasional Travel may be required
