Manager Supply Planning & Deployment

FUNCTION OF DEPARTMENT

Develop effective production, purchase, capacity, and inventory plans based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints across all plants and suppliers.

Support management with supply and labor risk assessments, mitigation plans, and what-if scenarios.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The Manager Supply Planning & Deployment coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the short-term and long-term planning of labor, inventory, capacity, and production for finished goods, WIP, and raw materials. Ensure plans are in line with monthly S&OP commitments.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and maintain labor and resources needed to provide efficient and feasible plans.
  • Develop and own capacity, inventory, labor, and purchase plans with close supply chain and operation leadership collaboration.
  • Develop and own safety stock targets to support service levels with close supply chain and sales leadership collaboration.
  • Oversee supply planning across the Madix network locations and work centers, including all inter-company transfers.
  • Establish performance metrics for measuring, comparing, or evaluating factors affecting supply, production, capacity, inventory, and inter-company transfer planning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed inventory targets of materials and supplies in all locations and sites to support customer service levels.
  • Maintain the required supplies and materials to optimize production through lean, level loading, and postponement where applicable.
  • Participate as an advisory member of the new product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and capacity availability.
  • Monitor and measure adherence to production and purchase plans as defined in the S&OP process. Provide necessary feedback, guidance, recovery, and action plans when demand exceeds available capacity.
  • Drive inventory management, production planning, and scheduling data modeling and analytics.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
