Description:

BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for providing accurate and timely corporate tax compliance with international, federal, state and local tax authorities. Provide research and understanding of new and changing domestic and international tax laws. Manage the preparation of quarterly income tax provision pursuant to ASC 740 (FAS 109).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the preparation of US federal and state tax returns outsourced to external tax consultants, including the internal preparation and review of calculations of US source income percentage, tax depreciation, state apportionment and other calculations required to monitor exposure under IRC section 883.

Compile UK corporation tax returns outsourced to external tax consultants, including requesting all necessary schedules and information from relevant internal stakeholders.

Review quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments.

Process of all US federal and state annual requests of extensions to file income tax returns prepared by external tax consultants.

Manage the quarterly income tax provision and assist with annual financial statement disclosure pursuant to ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN 48, including preparation and review of all FIN48 memorandums.

Complete the quarterly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet variance analysis requests from the Accounting department.

Perform annual current and deferred income tax true-up calculations related to foreign sales offices and send journal entries to the Accounting department for recording.

Manage calculation of the annual expense accruals and send to the Accounting department for recording.

Manage the accrual and payment processing of all tax related invoices.

Manage the preparation and review of the following returns: state sales and use tax returns, gross receipts tax returns, VAT returns, alcohol excise tax returns, gaming tax returns, tangible personal property tax returns and other miscellaneous tax filings as necessary.

Perform tax research to assist in determining the impact of various transactions (including changes in corporate structure or operations) to foreign, federal, state and local tax liability and reporting requirements.

Maintain and organize tax documents to ensure compliance with tax authorities and other regulatory agencies.

Assist with defining, implementing and complying with the company's sales, use and VAT tax obligations.

Respond to requests from Vendors, Accounts Payable and Purchasing for sales tax exemption certificates and withholding forms.

Serve as a resource for tax department management in assisting with the day-to-day issues and inquiries that arise from all areas of the company.

Assist with tax readiness tasks related to Pillar Two global tax reform (e.g. gather and provide information requested by tax consultants, coordinate internally with other departments to obtain requested information, etc.).

Manage the preparation and coordinate filing of the annual Country-by-Country ("CbyC") report.

Prepare and review of Foreign Bank Account reports (FBARs for all executives with signature authority in company's foreign bank accounts.

Manage coordination of new tax implementations onboard.

Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study. Master's degree in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred. CPA preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years' work experience in large corporate tax function or public accounting firm.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Good organizational and communication skills (written and verbal); strong PC skills including Microsoft applications and proficiency with tax software applications. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential tax exposures.
