  • POSITION STATEMENT:

The Technical Operations Manager oversees the IT Engineering team and other technical operations within our organization. The main duties include being responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. Supervise the implementation and maintenance of all internal and client computing needs. Ensure all the IT Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are meet or exceed. This role reports directly to the VP of Technical Operations

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:

Supervision of Staff
  • Managing the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules, and delegating tasks
  • Assessing the work performance of their employees and identifying areas that need improvement
  • Ensuring that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met
  • Training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles
  • Setting goals for workers and making sure they comply with the company's plans and vision

Technical Operations Oversight
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to leadership
  • Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company's network software whenever a new update is available
  • Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company's network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem
  • Working closely with other Client Management to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company's network
  • Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
  • REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
  • Proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry's best practice processes, policies, and regulations
  • Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms
  • Knowledge of best computer security practices
  • Good research and analysis skills
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations
  • A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
  • Excellent communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School diploma or GED is required
  • PREFERREED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred but not required based on experience
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • 7 to 10 years' experience as a systems and network engineer
  • 2 years' experience in team management

NETWORK FUNCTIONS:
  • Observing all Personnel Policies and Procedures
  • Observing all HIPAA Policies and Procedures and maintains confidentiality
  • Completing and returns all paperwork distributed by the Human Resource Department
  • Attending all required and scheduled trainings and meetings
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and exercises good professional judgment in all areas of employment duties
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Individual must be able to meet physical requirements of the job:
    • Sitting at a meeting table or desk - Reaching - Lifting - Bending - Standing - Stooping - Twisting -

Climbing steps - Driving a vehicle
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • ACCIDENT, HEALTH HAZARD AND SECURITY KNOWLEDGE:
    • Blood borne Pathogens, Right- To- Know, HIPAA, Security Acts, Fire & Safety
  • WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Remote and onsite as needed in accordance with needs of the job duties & responsibilities
  • ADHERE TO AND FOLLOW:
    • The By-Laws of the Corporation and as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation
