The Trust (Powered by the NFL Players Association) is searching for a dynamic leader to be our next Managing Director! This position will oversee the creation, coordinator and implementation of effective systems and processes that ensure organizational objectives are met. The Managing Director will also assist the Executive Director in the oversight of the day-to-day operations.

Managing Director candidates should have a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field plus a minimum of 10 years' demonstrated management experience. Master's level degree in social work, psychology or related field is strongly preferred. Other requirements include strategic, analytical and business planning skills, budget management and financial planning, and experience working with professional athletes including knowledge of post-career transitional needs.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Provides leadership and motivation for a high-performance team; fosters a values-driven, quality-oriented culture for the organization.
  • Supervises and evaluates the Engagement, Service, and Operations Teams; develops and implements performance metrics and service standards.
  • Assists in the negotiation of new and renewal partner contracts; oversees onboarding of new Trust partnerships.
  • Establishes the organizational objectives and key results; ensures programs and services are aligned with organizational objectives by implementing standards and control systems and regular evaluation
  • Oversees internal reporting, including, metric and policy development and data compilation and analytics.
  • Identifies opportunities for strategic program expansion.
  • Forges collaborative alliances with pivotal internal and external stakeholders who work closely with players.
  • Works in conjunction with Human Resources to assess the organization's staffing needs, anticipating and planning for expansion, reduction or modification as needed.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the organization's systems and processes on a regular basis to ensure alignment with organizational mission.
  • Manages the annual operational budget, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.
