Salary range is Step 1 $83,995 to Step 41 $162,757 and is based on years of relevant experience.

University High School is seeking a full-time instructor of Mandarin who can teach all levels of the language in a program that focuses on the close reading and analysis of literary texts, and where supplementary course materials are teacher-generated (no commercial textbooks). Candidates should have a degree in Chinese language or Chinese literature, teaching experience, preferably in high school, and strong fluency in the language. We are especially interested in candidates who exhibit a passion for teaching language and culture through literature, and for collaborating on a teaching team.
