As a Bi-Lingual Manufacturing Cost Accountant, you will be committed to fostering a proactive Safety, Sustainability, and Quality culture. Our goal is to create an environment where both employees and contractors can work injury-free, ensuring all tasks are authorized and safe. You will communicate the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) goals, targets, and required behavior clearly to all employees and contractors. Ensure that all outputs are delivered within a controlled risk environment.
You'll play a crucial role in driving financial excellence and operational efficiency. You'll be responsible for comprehensive weekly and monthly manufacturing reporting, analyzing key financial metrics, and developing action plans to optimize financial results. You'll support budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborate on annual budget presentations, and prepare monthly cost and variance forecasts.
Your expertise in product costing and manufacturing cost management will ensure the accuracy of our ERP system and lead to insightful variance reporting. Additionally, you'll work on key initiatives to enhance plant flexibility, efficiency, and operational security, while supporting internal customers with data insights and problem-solving tools. You'll also oversee capital expenditure budgets, support fixed asset audits, and ensure balance sheet integrity.

Key Technical Criteria:
- Qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or related field.
- Accounting Certification preferred (CPA, CA).
- Experience in Financial Planning or Operational Finance in a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment
- Experience Budgeting and Forecasting within complex manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated Development and execution of process improvements and value-creation initiatives
This role will be based in Mont-Joli. Should be Fluent in English and French.
