Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Engineering: Able to determine a sequence of operations for NPI parts, support/improve flow for existing products, create and update routings, operation sketches, PFMEAs, perform capacity analysis, evaluate process capabilities and troubleshoot CNC processes (either turning or EDM/Milling)
- CNC Knowledge: Leverage experience with various CNC machines including lathes, milling, EDM and others to support existing products families & NPI, able to identify/select machine replacements to maintain existing machine capabilities.
- Programming: Develop CNC programs using machine controls and NX CAD/CAM software.
- Tooling Solutions: Design tooling solutions for material removal (custom tool holders for clearances, special part features) and work holding/fixturing (pie jaws, rings, clamps, covers, etc.) to optimize machining processes and account for part movement.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to team members and collaborate with engineers to meet mistake proofing standards, as well as quality and production targets.
- Process Optimization: Review and improve existing programs for efficiency and quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of CNC paths, features, and tooling information for traceability.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for productivity enhancements and participate in improvement initiatives.
- Training Support: Assist in training initiatives to develop team skills.
- Problem Solving: Address manufacturing and quality issues using root cause analysis

- Communication and Organization: Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Technical Expertise: Must be proficient in CNC Turning or EDM/Milling machining processes (Machine selection, tool selection, work holding selection, setup knowledge, process troubleshooting).
- Flexibility: Adaptability to changing business needs.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues.
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) at an ABET accredited school, or in absence of a degree, 8 years of relevant CNC programming experience.
- For candidates with a bachelor's degree, a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience in CNC programming or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with reading and interpreting GD&T on blueprints, process specifications, and technical drawings in Aerospace or comparable regulated Industry.
- Experience with CNC Turning or EDM/Milling machining processes.
- Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
