Position Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer performs various professional level engineering duties in a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines. There is an emphasis on supporting the company's products and processes related to system/component design, development, manufacturing and testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Applies engineering and scientific principles in such technical fields as mechanics, electronics, flight technology, structures, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, and computer science.
  • Responsible for creating product work instructions and being the technical lead for production hardware.
  • May conduct or participate in portions of studies, investigations or analyses involving reliability, predictability, value engineering; or quality assurance problems. including hardware and software projects.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, dispositioning non-conforming hardware, and providing root cause and corrective action.
  • Continuously strives to improve processes & techniques.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other related documents.

Critical Competencies
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, across functional areas.
  • Possesses advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Drives for results to establish Root Cause & Positive Corrective Actions.
  • Experience with CAD software for 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Quantitative analysis skills using Excel and other software tools.
  • Drives for results, action oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field required.
  • 2+ years' experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with various test and measurement equipment is preferred, i.e. Voltmeter, Oscilloscope, Calipers, Micrometers.
  • Mechatronics/Electro-Mechanical background is preferred.
  • Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.


This position is located 100% onsite at our Black Mountain, North Carolina facility.
