Responsibilities
Job Description
Manufacturing Engineers III for Statesboro, GA location. Use electrical and mechanical knowledge to evaluate existing manufacturing equipment, processes, and configuration of manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, productivity, and develop best practices within the production process. Work closely with plant management and production personnel to resolve issues and improve equipment performance, and with design engineering to develop equipment-based solutions for process and design issues. Facilitate equipment installation projects and track and maintain progress beyond implementation. Implement, support, and facilitate Lean Manufacturing principles. Support maintenance team based on deep engineering knowledge.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering plus 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering position required.
Required Skills: 5 years of experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, including PLC, electrical, mechanical, fluid power, welding, fabrication skills, HVAC; 5 years of experience with manufacturing processes; 2 years of experience with foaming process; Experience with implementing industry 4.0 (MES tools); automating assembly process; Jig & Fixture design; new product introduction; computerized maintenance management systems; developing preventative maintenance schedules; asset justification and budgeting regarding annual capital expenditures; Industrial engineering skills including work measurement, labor reporting and plant layout; MS Office; AutoCAD; SolidWorks. Lean Six Sigma green belt certification required. Up to 5% domestic travel required. Limited telecommuting permitted.
