About the position:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Raybuilt team in Syracuse, New York. As a Process Engineer within the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to impact how we design, manufacture, and test our product. Continually investing in modern machinery, automation, and robotic technologies and developing processes that align with the Toyota Production system. You will be exposed to manufacturing philosophies that incorporate metal joining techniques utilizing the latest processes. You will have influence on the direction of this technology within our company. You will analyze and develop solutions that not only use current knowledge but also look into the future and its role in highly automated production. This is a challenging role that offers the opportunity to take your education, experience, and ideas and turn them into reality. Creativity, innovation, and an excitement for engineering will enable you to excel in this position. You will:
  • Ensure the utilization of Industrial Engineering tools and principles as part of the development of new and improvement of current processes (Demand Flow Technology, Line Design, Line Balance, and Material Flow).
  • Ensure that our processes design includes efficient layouts, defined workstations, and material flow paths.
  • Help outline production capacity and proper resources allocation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to help manufacturing location to resolve bottlenecks and flow constraints within the outlined processes under your responsibility.
  • Identify and install key manufacturing processes or enhancements; identify new or alternate manufacturing technologies to increase the factory's cost effectiveness (cost reduction, modernization, ergonomic and quality improvements).
  • Work on an interdisciplinary basis to lead or participate in projects or programs that require cross-functional expertise.
  • Develop proper processes documentation such as Standard Work sheets, labor standards, time studies, and other processes needs.

About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least 1 year of experience.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Availability to periodically travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and carry out technical activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player, flexible, adaptable, and dependable.
  • Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience.
  • Experience with Industrial Engineering tools.

It would be great if you had:
  • Project management experience.
  • TPS Knowledge
  • Experience implementing new processes and products from conceptualization to production.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $72,000 - $96,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.

Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, Engineer in Training (EIT), or a professional license is required.
