JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Tucson, AZ
ON SITE/HYBRID/REMOTE: On site
SALARY: $38.00 - $43.00/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
The role is responsible to create, modify, update Manufacturing process, plans and other aspects needed for the most efficient and effective manufacture of product.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop processes and procedures related to ASSEMBLY engineering
  • Perform virtual design review and analysis for identifying the engineering issues before design freeze for NPI programs
  • Validate the assembly sequence of operations and identify potential issues before design freeze and propose mitigation activities
  • Validate the designs for ease of assembly, tool and ergonomic access
  • Check clearances for install of major sub modules
  • Create/update Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM)
  • Perform torque audits
  • Create build books for field assembly
  • Validate BOM to propose viable kitting concepts for both sea and air freights
  • Execution experience with Time studies, line balancing
  • Work with global teams and perform role as onsite liaison
  • Ensure that all ISO and safety policies are known and always followed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader as applicable.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong team player with good organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Very good written, spoken communication in English language
  • Ability to work in a factory environment and flexible to support as needed in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
  • Previous full time work experience as MANUFACTURING ENGINEER in a factory environment
  • 1-2 years of industry experience.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Software Tools - TC Vismockup, Microsoft Office Software Suite, Teamcenter Engineering required
  • Virtual build & virtual review experience is a must
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and communicate details to suppliers upholding confidentiality and professionalism
  • Experience having worked in a factory environment with cross functional teams including operations, quality, logistics is a plus.
  • Sound manufacturing engineering knowledge to understand and execute- Time Study, Time Standards, Visual Aids, Engineering changes, Engineering drawings and prints, Torque tool selection, Layout creation, Safety, Ergonomics.
