Selectek is seeking a talented and results-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing company in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing manufacturing efficiency and productivity by implementing lean methodologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Role:
- Process Improvement: You will lead the development and implementation of 5S programs, conduct kaizen events, and identify and implement process improvements across the manufacturing floor.
- Operational Support: You will provide support to plant operations to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Capital Expenditure Projects: You will develop and implement capital expenditure projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Root Cause Analysis: You will conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing non-conformances.
- Documentation: You will develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, standard work procedures, and process flow diagrams.
- Experienced Professional: You have at least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering.
- Technically Proficient: You have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- A Strong Communicator: You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A Team Player: You are a collaborative team player with the ability to effectively communicate and work with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
- Experience with Kaizen leadership.
- Experience with fabrication and assembly processes.
- Experience with value stream mapping.
- Travel: Limited travel may be required, typically less than 10%.
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 depending on prior experience
