We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize productivity. This role involves implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, selecting and modifying production tools, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
This position involves a mix of office and shop floor work. Occasional travel may be required to suppliers, vendors, and trade shows.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize productivity. This role involves implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, selecting and modifying production tools, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and enhance manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline production operations.
- Drive the implementation of capital projects, ensuring a strong return on investment.
- Select, design, and modify production tools, fixtures, and equipment for efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize operational downtime.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and sales teams to develop and implement quality standards, inspection protocols, and corrective actions.
- Monitor product quality and process performance, identifying and eliminating root causes of defects.
- Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
- Create, update, and maintain procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Support product development by collaborating with design engineering, procurement, and other teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Support prototyping and testing efforts, making necessary adjustments to manufacturing processes.
- Estimate time and cost for manufacturing processes and participate in cross-functional project teams.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet established performance criteria.
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings, including flat patterns and all necessary dimensions.
- Develop CAD drawings of piece parts, weldments, and entire machines.
- Review processes and procedures to improve employee safety.
- Evaluate and recommend pricing proposals utilizing the best available information.
- Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Consult with customers and manage new product development timelines.
- Develop quality control plans to ensure part conformity.
- Support quality engineers with programming of CNC equipment for new product introduction.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and lead initiatives to eliminate risks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes, standards, and equipment modifications.
- Train production personnel in new processes and updated procedures.
- Write and implement work instructions, processes, and procedures for the production floor and department.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and materials.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP/CRM systems.
- Experience with 3D printing.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Experience in programming CNC equipment.
- Knowledge of quality control plans and methodologies.
