TITLE: Manufacturing Line Lead, Endoscopy

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Line Lead will manage the manufacturing line assemblers & operators to support new product manufacturing with evolving manufacturing techniques and supporting process development activities. The ideal candidate would act with passion and intensity in a medical device start-up that is fast paced and collaborative and display the ability to perform to the requirements outlined below. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage assemblers and operators on a daily basis to ensure product is manufactured properly to support design and manufacturing optimization
  • Assist management with transitioning pilot line into clean room space
  • Adjust assembler station assignments to ensure proper line balance and/or efficient part flow
  • Become subject matter expert on assembly process and train new assemblers as needed
  • Investigate assembly issues and assist engineering on documenting and implementing process improvements
  • Build medical devices that can be used for design and manufacturing optimization
  • Ability to work in controlled environments
  • Utilize small hand tools and/or precision devices and microscopes to aid in prototyping and testing
  • Comfortable supporting multiple products and engineers
  • Keep work area, equipment and materials clean, organized and properly identified.
  • Maintain clean room organization (keep work area, equipment, and materials clean, organized and properly identified)
  • Perform other tasks as needed to prevent line down situations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 15 year working in the medical device industry.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes such as applying adhesive, UV curing, and cutting techniques
  • Positive demeanor with a strong work ethic and desire to be a big part of a growing organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent assembly skills
  • Experience managing assemblers/operators, or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with disposables/consumables
  • Experience with Propel Quality system
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience supporting medical device and capital equipment BOMs
  • Experience creating and/or redlining MPIs and LHRs
  • Experience in a start-up environment

Neptune Medical is located in Burlingame, CA, near the Millbrae Caltrain and BART station.

The starting annual base salary for this role is between $35/hour to $55/hour depending on experience. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for 401(K) with matching and our company equity vesting plan.
