Manufacturing Project Manager
Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an energetic, confident and detail-oriented person to join our team as a Manufacturing Project Manager within our Construction Equipment Division. This Project Manager will lead the program for launching new product models within our Construction Equipment site and ensure all teams are engaged throughout all phases of the project from pre-production planning processes to full production launch status and beyond.
This position is on-site in Salina, KS. Primary work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some travel may be required to support the program. This position reports to the Director of Construction Equipment Division and will be based in our CE facility.

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an energetic, confident and detail-oriented person to join our team as a Manufacturing Project Manager within our Construction Equipment Division. This Project Manager will lead the program for launching new product models within our Construction Equipment site and ensure all teams are engaged throughout all phases of the project from pre-production planning processes to full production launch status and beyond.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create project Gantt Chart to plan project implementation and track progress on key deliverables to successfully achieve product launch date.
- Lead and coordinate pre-production build schedule, coordinate power unit builds, and prepare the plant for successful first time Run at Rate.
- Ensure that all resources are available in engineering and production to support the new product launch and growth.
- Document open issues, action steps, owners, and completion dates. Review pending items with leadership team and close open issues to achieve product launch.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure that purchased parts and outsourced items are properly defined and will be delivered as required.
- Lead project update meetings and communicate current risks and solutions, project needs and achievements.
- Ensures project has support needed within company for successful completion.
- Eliminate any "roadblocks" which may hinder plant achieving project goals.
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with manufacturing timelines is required.
- Manufacturing Project Management experience strongly preferred.
- Functional discipline or operational leadership experience in a manufacturing plant
- Must have solid problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly preferred.
