Responsibilities
What you'll be able to do:
Manufacturing Test Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Serve as a test specialist for the powertrain manufacturing engineering organization with a focus on electrification (e-Transaxle programs). Responsible for the specification, procurement, build, installation, and launch of Powertrain Production Test Systems. Support launch activities for new e-Transaxle programs as part of Ford's Global Electrification plan and deliver standardized test processes and equipment in line with global powertrain strategies. Interface with Product Engineering to achieve a working product design that meets Manufacturing Design Specifications with feasible expectations in the Test Engineering Specification ("ES"). Develop production test sequences and monitor product functions through WMA test software interfaces. Perform test processes (e.g., Leak Test, In-Process Test, Main Control Oil Calibration, Transmission Final Test, EOL Test, etc.), monitor parts tested, and optimize station parameters. Work to identify and troubleshoot production issues impacting throughput and warranty, and determine corrective actions to the part, assembly, and machining processes. Additionally, will lead retool efforts as required for test equipment to implement test stand modifications for new product models.
Qualifications
You'll have...
A Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and 8 years of experience in the position offered or 8 years of experience working in the Manufacturing Engineering industry. Also requires 5 years of experience working with the following test processes: Leak Test, In-Process Test, and End of Line Test; working with transmission or electrified powertrain component function; programming using test software; and working with electronic controls systems. Requires 3 years of experience working with Vibration and NVH analysis; and managing projects from inception through launch.
We are offering a salary of$117,832.00 - $158,099.04/yr.
