JOB SUMMARY
The Marine Operations Manager is responsible for the managing the operational integrity and marine functions of the regional fleet. This includes support and guidance on rig operations, rig moves, rig assessments and compliance towards flag and class requirements. Reporting to the Head of Subsea Riser and Marine Operations, this role will act as the primary marine SME for all units operating in the region.

Reporting to the Head of Subsea Riser and Marine Operations, this role will act as the primary marine SME for all units operating in the region.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as technical authority for marine operations for units operating within the region.
- Collaboration with the Marine Compliance manager to ensure compliance towards all class and flag activities.
- Ensure the timing of class activities are established and processes are being followed by the respective rig teams.
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with Flag State and local Port State authorities.
- Develop, review, or update policies and procedures as appropriate to improve the safety and efficiency of regional marine operations.
- Carry out Marine Audits of the regional fleet. Perform vendor, rig, and equipment audits as necessary across the fleet.
- Support commercial and marketing teams with technical input for tendering and contract evaluation.
- Ensure that marine training and competency is appropriate within the region and all process are being adhered to.
- Review and maintain the preventative maintenance tasks in the marine discipline.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of experience of marine operations and drilling package operations on MODUs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant nautical degree of equivalent technical qualification.
- Operational experience at management level within a drilling contractor business.
- Flexibility to travel offshore or to company office locations as situations dictate.
- Proficiency at technical writing and producing reports that can be sent to all levels of management and governmental authorities.
- Ability to communicate at high level orally, and in writing, and present to senior management and clients.
