POSITION PURPOSE: The Master Data Manager will play a critical role in our organization by leading the strategy and execution of our master data management (MDM) program. This role requires a strategic thinker that will provide leadership and guidance to ensure the integrity, improved quality/consistency, governance, and sustainability of our master data management.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Master Data Management Team.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal information assets.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent, accurate, complete, accessible and timely data.
- Build data team to be responsive to OWI Organizational requirements.
- Data Strategy and Vision: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the company's master data management program that aligns with our broader business objectives. Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.
- Governance: Establish a 'light' governance model that ensures data quality, consistency, and standardization across the organization. Define data ownership, stewardship roles, and responsibilities.
- Process Improvement: Identify, assess, and improve master data management processes, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and meet the needs of the business.
- Technology Optimization: Evaluate and leverage SAP and other technologies to improve the quality and accessibility of our master data. Stay abreast of latest MDM technologies and trends.
- Centralization: Centralize the master data management function, creating efficiencies and ensuring data consistency across the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure master data requirements are met and support the broader business objectives.
- Training and Development: Develop training programs to educate employees on the importance of data management and the use of SAP for MDM. Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the master data management program.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Proven experience (4 years) in a master data management role, preferably within a large, complex organization
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of data governance, cleaning and archiving.
- Ability to design and re-design data governance per requirements.
- Should have experience in working for supply chain organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. Proven change management and relationship building experience.
- Excellent problem solving, dispute resolution, interpersonal, analytical and project management skills; ability to prioritize, delegate tasks and multi-task.
- Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service.
- Demonstrated experience in/with enterprise-wide data governance required.
- Demonstrated skill running effective meetings and gaining buy-in and participation from executive leaders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS SharePoint.
