As a Master Data Manager at Groupe Master, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the integrity, consistency, and quality of master data used across the organization. In a context of organizational transformation focused on modernizing our systems and business practices, you will play a key role in enforcing data governance rules while supporting the operational management and business use of master data.
You will work closely with business teams, IT experts, and external partners to ensure that foundational data meets the current and future needs of the organization, while supporting initiatives to transition to more modern systems.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Ensure strict application of the company's established master data governance rules, in collaboration with business and IT teams
- Coordinate the creation, modification, validation, and deactivation of master data (products, customers, vendors, locations, etc.), ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance
- Support key users and data domain owners in following master data management processes
- Actively participate in technological transformation projects by contributing to the preparation, cleansing, conversion, and transition of master data to modern systems
- Identify data issues or non-compliance and implement appropriate corrective actions in collaboration with stakeholders
- Implement quality control mechanisms and generate reports on the health status of master data
- Document operational processes related to master data management and support their ongoing improvement
- Provide guidance to users on master data best practices and contribute to developing a strong data culture across the organization
- Work closely with the Data Governance Lead to align data management operations with the company's strategic objectives
What You Bring to Our Team:
- University degree in Information Technology, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a data management or data governance role
- Significant experience in master data management (MDM)
- Strong understanding of data governance practices
- Familiarity with data architecture principles and ERP environments
- Knowledge of data management and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SAP MDG, etc.) is an asset
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative leadership and strong communication skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-evolving environment
- Ability to explain complex data concepts in a clear and accessible way
- Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with our internal and/or external Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can meet these professional obligations.
Compensation Information:
Base Salary Range: $88000 - $118000 annually
Supplemental Pay Types Include: Annual corporate performance bonus
The final salary will be determined according to the candidate's skills and experience, in compliance with current regulations.
