POSITION SUMMARY:
The Master Scheduler supports Planning/Integration and Project Management to meet project schedule, cost, quality, safety, and corporate goals. Main functions focus on the development and maintenance of all levels of schedule - Level 1 shipyard master, Level 2 project/program planning, and Level 3 project/program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
SALARY RANGE: $118,586 - 148,232
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing the planning activities required to provide the information necessary for production to carry out work and project management/supply chain to support material & service provision to support production.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for Scheduling Department: 2-5 people

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: None required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires that the successful candidate work onsite 5 days per week. The person may be required to be in production areas at times. There may be local travel up to 10% of the time and out-of-town travel (including air travel) up to 5% of the time with notice.
CITIZENSHIP: Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires
US citizenship.

- Working with Planning Department to build and maintain schedules in accordance with the approved build strategies
- Generate schedule output to meet customer requirements: Internal and External customers
- Develop and produce report outputs, relevant to each level of schedule, including:
- Labor projections
- Critical path(s)
- Milestone/payment event schedule
- Department/work center specific schedules
- Conduct schedule health assessments, using DCMA 14-point assessment
- Carry out remedial actions, as necessary, to maintain schedule health
- Highlight if issues found, or remedial actions, affect the schedule
- Lead schedule review meeting
- Ensure alignment is maintained between the ERP system (IFS) and schedules
- Build, and maintain, schedule WBS to align with MIL-STD-881 and company processes
- Analyze schedules, highlight issues, and recommend remedial actions to resolve issues found
- Interface with all relevant departments for schedule development, update, and reporting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for Scheduling Department: 2-5 people
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Significant, and varied, shipbuilding and fabrication experience
- Experience scheduling complex programs
- Working knowledge of production processes, facilities, and limitations
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage, mentor, and motive a team
- Use of relevant software packages (ERP, Scheduling, and Office products)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in heavy industrial environment, maritime/shipbuilding preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling techniques and schedule development
- Working knowledge of WBS development, including use of US Navy SWBS system
- Experience in production, engineering or project management preferred
