Role: The Master Scheduler is responsible for the planning and execution of company forecast, production schedule, materials plan and materials control activities required to meet customer needs at the Hydra-Flex location in Savage, Minnesota. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages demand forecasting, capacity planning, and the part maintenance of the ERP system
  • Analyzes inventory variances, identifies trends, root causes and provides effective variance reporting and corrective action.
  • Interfaces and coordinates between manufacturing, procurement, engineering, finance, and suppliers regarding component and schedule requirements and changes.
  • Identified as operations customer service liaison.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs.
  • Identifies and communicates current and potential problems and opportunities so the management team can make appropriate decisions. Proactively leads change for improving efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Develop scheduling methodology that delivers a stable schedule, while still delivering agility when/where needed to support customer requirements.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

Formal Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field required.
  • At least five years of related experience required.
  • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
