Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next several years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, The Master Scheduler plays a vital role in maximizing production efficiencies, ultimately responsible for determining products to be built and production lines to be used. This role will support the Kar's Nuts brand and requires daily in-person commitment at our Madison Heights, MI location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop short- and long-term production plans to meet forecast and customer demand, maximize production efficiencies and balance capacities, and support fill rate requirements.
  • Set inventory targets and maintain proper inventories for intermediates and finished goods based on customer demand, lead times, and distribution requirements.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, product development, and finance to manage projects, product launches, excess & obsolete inventory, variances, etc.
  • Partner with Purchasing team to ensure we have proper vendor support and service as well as inventory of ingredients and packaging.
  • Support production team to meet schedule attainment goals and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure material availability to support production attainment goals. Generate production reports used for important production and inventory decisions.
  • Utilize SAP S4 HANA ERP system.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree. Minimum 7-10 years' experience of efficiently scheduling a manufacturing facility and supporting production with preference in CPG/Food and Beverage Industry.
  • Must have a solid understanding of MRP, production planning, capacity analysis, absorption, scheduling efficiencies, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives.
  • Flexible, self-motivating, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with cross-function teams and peers, fair and respectful of others. Demonstrated good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with manufacturing team and cross-functional groups, maintain organization, and communicate effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated understanding of basics of customer care
  • Strong ERP experience, excel and data analytical skills, SAP preferred
