Cyient is seeking an experienced Material Review Engineer (MRE) to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and final engineering dispositions on Quality Notifications (QNs) related to production operations. We are looking for a professional with flexible availability for first, second, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Module/Part Center Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) and Part Family Engineering to resolve non-conformances on Military, Commercial, and Industrial engine components.
- Participate in the Engine Center Manufacturing Corrective Action Board (MCAB).
- Provide data and feedback to support corrective action identification and implementation.
- Offer certified-MRE coverage and support for production operations on the assembly floor and test area, ensuring delivery commitments are met.
- Review and finalize engineering dispositions for QNs, ensuring all aspects are complete and accurate, including defect descriptions, classifications, and engineering recommendations.
- Lead investigations to ensure design and customer requirements are met.
- Develop cost-effective repairs or rework strategies that align with design intent and engineering analysis.
- Make final technical dispositions for Accept, Repair, or Scrap of QNs requiring MRE intervention.
- Confirm the correct classification of non-conforming characteristics (KPC1, KPC2, minor), and ensure proper quality inspections for repair dispositions.
- MRE Certification from Pratt & Whitney is required.
- Solid understanding of Material Review Board (MRB) requirements and processes.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Strong experience in interpreting manufacturing drawings.
- Familiarity with engine design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 15 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
