Job Number 687579BR Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control's (MFC) Pike County Operations site in Troy, AL is a multi-shift, manufacturing facility which integrates complex mechanical and electronic assemblies. The facility specializes in both low volume / high mix and high-volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Pike County Operations has a manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team. This position will be a part of the Production, Planning and Control organization as a leader managing activities within the Material Support Center and distributions to production floors across the Pike County Operations Site. Functional areas of responsibilities include: Receipt scheduling and tracking, Warehouse Organization and Loading, Kitting and Distribution Scheduling, and Inventory Activities. Overseeing management and staffing of approximately 15-20 direct reports. Working outside of normal operating hours as required. Relocation Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability and experience
communicating with peers, leadership, internal,
and external customers effectively on multiple platforms (face-to-face, virtually, email, skype,
etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work independently
and make effective decisions
Demonstrated proficient knowledge of
computer systems, office applications, and
warehouse management systems.
Ability to train and become certified in all
processes and procedures applicable to warehousing and distribution activities. Coordinate and manage receipts and distributions for multiple programs. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a
Secret security clearance and must have at a
minimum an interim Secret security clearance
prior to start.
Ability to work additional time outside of
normal work schedule. **Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
("ATF") background check to obtain approval to
be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or
other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF
regulations. Failure to obtain and retain
employee possessor status may result in
revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Background and working knowledge of Warehousing, Distribution, and Inventory processes. SAP, Apriso, and Shipment Tracking Programs experience.
Receiving / Shipping inspection background is
a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
