MasterMold, LLC is seeking an experienced Materials and Process Engineer to lead our bonding and sealing operations across multiple facilities.
In this role, you will serve as the primary engineer responsible for both automated and manual bonding applications-ensuring optimal process performance, equipment reliability, and quality control.

Process & Quality Control:
Data Analysis & Process Optimization:
Analyze CMM data and maintain bonded parts, adjusting production to stay within CP/CPk requirements. Perform ratio checks, tear down, and conduct torque/pull out testing of bonded joints and fasteners. Troubleshoot and implement improvements to equipment based on performance data.

Process & Quality Control:
- Oversee both automated and manual bonding and sealing applications in multiple facilities.
- Develop, maintain, and audit WCM AM & PM processes in all assigned areas.
- Serve as the primary person responsible for PM application, ensuring consistent, hands-on management.
Data Analysis & Process Optimization:
Design & Equipment Development:
- Design and quote fixtures and production improvements for new products or serial production in the bonding area, including customer equipment PMs.
- Collaborate on bonder cell equipment design, working closely with team members to drive innovative solutions.
- Participate in design reviews for new bonding and sealing equipment and contribute to PPAP data analysis, including tolerance stack evaluations.
Quality and Innovation:
- Implement and improve bonding-related quality control processes.
- Drive the development of new adhesives for both new and existing products.
- Lead improvements to the stud bonding process and equipment, with a focus on operations in Mauston (7/11 gullwing cell).
- Apply the MasterMold Manufacturing Method and the strategic vision for bonding operations to enhance overall equipment performance.
Cost-Savings Initiatives:
- Identify and implement cost-saving ideas across bonding and sealing processes and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bonding, sealing, and automation engineering within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in CMM data interpretation, PPAP analysis, and quality control methods.
- Hands-on experience with PM applications and a deep understanding of process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, particularly within a WCM framework, is highly desirable.
