ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Materials Manager will lead a People First culture in a manufacturing environment and manage all material and outbound traffic related activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and services. The Materials Manager will inspire and drive continuous improvement and cross functional engagement.
This role will be required to be onsite at our Pierce Manufacturing facility in Bradenton, Florida.

Pay Range:
$91,800.00 - $153,200.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions. The Materials Manager will lead a People First culture in a manufacturing environment and manage all material and outbound traffic related activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and services. The Materials Manager will inspire and drive continuous improvement and cross functional engagement.
This role will be required to be onsite at our Pierce Manufacturing facility in Bradenton, Florida.
YOUR IMPACT:
- Oversee the materials process and daily workflow of multiple areas/processes within a production facility
- Lead, coach, and develop both hourly and salary team members.
- Develop and manage the flow of materials between plants and off-site stored materials.
- Manage budget of equipment leases, repairs, and purchases of material handling equipment and storage racks.
- Participate in the review and goal setting for the materials personnel.
- Evaluate the processes used to store and distribute materials in the fabrication and assembly plants.
- Participate with vendor managed inventory programs.
- Review and update departmental procedures to ensure ISO compliance.
- Train employees on the process for charges, rejects, and consumption of materials.
- Work with suppliers on correct documentation required on materials received.
- Develop processes to secure and protect inventory utilizing returnable packaging.
- Organize and execute special inventory counts.
- Review daily shortages due to inventory errors and determine causes and corrective actions.
- Review and dispose of obsolete inventory.
- Manage the cycle count system.
- Participate in employee involvement programs.
- Drive continuous improvement of materials processes and metrics.
- Take part in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Work closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure optimal throughput and productivity.
- Other materials-related projects and assignments as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Six plus years of related work experience
