Materials Planning Manager

Setpoint Integrated Solutions has an opportunity for a Materials Planning Manager as a part of the Supply Chain-Materials team. The primary goal of this position is to optimize inventory and maintain a high service level for purchased parts and finished goods. The position will be responsible for strategic and tactical support for all aspects of Material planning including but not limited to Supply and Demand planning and liaising with other stakeholders to achieve the primary goal.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demand Planning
    • Monitor and maintain semi-annual categorization through ABC analysis, review and codification in the system
    • Use quantitative or qualitative inputs to improve the demand plan model.
    • Support SIOP meetings
    • Analyze changes to the demand plan, its anticipated impact on fulfillment and need to readjust the supply plan. Communicate changes needed to the Supply Plan to the stakeholders.
    • Use in-house and/or external tools to maintain forecast.
  • Supply Planning
    • Provide tactical guidance to the buyers for creating and executing the Supply Plan
    • Identify excess inventory and work with stakeholders to disposition it.
    • Analyze adjustments to the supply schedule and its impact on fulfillment.
    • Ensure execution of material orders in accordance with overall purchasing, inventory, and commodity strategies, supplier agreements, and policy requirements.
    • Compile and publish KPIs- including Days of inventory on hand and fill rates.
  • System Support
    • Become the subject matter expert for material planning using the ERP system.
  • Other
    • Understand the nuances of the products, business, supplier and customers to help fulfill the demand in an efficient manner.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to procurement, operations and accounting to ensure seamless execution of supply planning activities.
    • Lead periodic Physical inventory.
    • Create standard operation procedures and workflow documentation for material planning activities.
    • Other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management or related experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications. Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills. Ability to process, organize and interpret large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel application.
  • Prior experience with Materials Management/MRP systems
  • Analytical and enjoys problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
