Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

License: Valid license to practice the profession in the applicable state
Certifications:
- Board certification/eligibility based on education and specialty
- Valid DEA in the applicable state
- BLS or ACLS upon hire in an acute care hospital
- BLS or ACLS within 90 days of hire in an ambulatory clinic
Must-Have: EPIC proficiency
Job Description:
- Function independently to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-centric manner.
- Deliver care across various settings and modalities, including direct hospital or clinic interactions, telephone, video, or secure email as needed.
- Conduct patient history gathering, physical exams, review prior records and ancillary data, using sound judgment and critical problem-solving skills.
- Develop and monitor appropriate treatment plans; communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
- Provide efficient and compassionate care for patients and families utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Conduct relevant education and counseling to support patient care plans, treatment, and discharge.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, leadership, and medical staff to ensure safe patient care; communicate pertinent findings and information to the physician and team.
- Assist physicians with patient management in the hospital aligned with care site policies and an approved Scope of Practice.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice metrics; document according to guidelines.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned and be flexible in floating to other departments based on business needs or being on-call during scheduled shifts.
- Provide Psychiatry Consult Inpatient coverage exclusively in the hospital and round on patients that remain inpatient.
